FAQ
Is this cover letter generator free?
- Yes. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark.
- If you consider supporting, a small tip keeps the tools running and means a lot. Support via or coffee.
Does my letter ever leave my browser?
- No. Everything you type, including any job description you paste in for the checklist, is kept in your browser only. It is autosaved to your device as you go, so a reload or an accidental tab close does not lose your progress, and cleared entirely with the Clear button. Nothing is ever uploaded.
- Does the page work offline? Yes. After the first visit the page and its bundle are cached, so it keeps working with no internet connection. The offline ready badge next to the title shows once the cache is in place.
Can I reuse my CV information here?
- Yes. If you have already used the free cv ats generator on this site, the Import from CV button fills in your name, email, phone, location and LinkedIn from that saved data. The lookup happens entirely on your device: nothing is fetched from a server.
How does the personalization checklist work?
- It is a checklist, not a real parser: whether your letter names the company and job title, has an opening and closing, is long enough, and (if you paste one in) covers the keywords from the job description. Each passing item adds its weight, up to 100.
- Treat it as a sanity check before you send, not a guarantee. A perfect score does not replace tailoring your letter to the specific role.
