FAQ
Is this CV generator free?
- Yes. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark.
- If you consider supporting, a small tip keeps the tools running and means a lot. Support via or coffee.
Does my resume data ever leave my browser?
- No. Everything you type is kept in your browser only. It is autosaved to your device as you go, so a reload or an accidental tab close does not lose your progress, and cleared entirely with the Clear button. Nothing is ever uploaded.
- Does the page work offline? Yes. After the first visit the page and its bundle are cached, so it keeps working with no internet connection. The offline ready badge next to the title shows once the cache is in place.
What makes a resume "ATS-friendly"?
- A single-column, text-based layout with standard section headings (Experience, Education, Skills), so an applicant tracking system can parse your name, contact details, work history and skills without misreading columns, tables, text boxes or images. This tool only ever generates that layout.
- Beyond layout, the biggest factors are keywords that match the job description, a summary that is not empty, measurable bullet points under each role, and complete contact information. The ATS score checklist below the form checks for exactly these.
How is the ATS score calculated?
- It is a checklist, not a real parser: contact info, summary length, skills count, experience and education entries, and whether your experience bullet points are measurable. Each passing item adds its weight, up to 100.
- Treat it as a sanity check before you apply, not a guarantee. Real ATS software varies, and a perfect score here does not replace tailoring your resume to the specific job description.
PDF or TXT, which should I download?
- PDF for anywhere a human or an ATS expects a file upload. It keeps the same single-column, text-based layout, so it still parses cleanly.
- TXT is the rawest possible format, useful when a job application form asks you to paste your resume as plain text instead of attaching a file.
